BROAD SPECTRUM ANTIFUNGAL DERMAL CREAM AND VAGINAL TABLETS
Betrosil ® contains the synthetic fungicidal broad-spectrum antifungal agent, chemically identified as 1-(2,4, Dichloro-β-(2-Chloro-3-thenyloxy-)-Phenethyl) imidazole.
Betrosil® Cream is effective in the treatment of fungi skin infections due to dermatophytes, e.g. Trichophyton species, yeast e.g. Candida species, mould and other fungi such as Tinea capitis, coporis, mannum, barbae, cruris, pedis (athlete’s foot) pituriasis, versicolour erythrasma and in those conditions complicated by infection with susceptible gram positive bacteria.
Betrosil® cream or Gyno-Betrosil® Tablet is contraindicated in individual who have shown hypersensitivity to Tioconazole or any of the components of the cream or tablet.
If local irritation or allergic reaction should occur, the treatment should be discontinued, Gyno-Betrosil® Vaginal Tablet is effective in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis associated with pregnancy, but should be prescribed with caution during the first trimester. Application of the vaginal tablet during pregnancy should be preferably done without the applicator.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Besrosil® Cream is thinly applied to the affected parts and rubbed-in two to three times daily. Duration of treatment could be in to 2-4 weeks depending on the extent and the site of the disease.
Gyno-Betrosil® vaginal tablet (100mg) should be inserted deep in the vaginal once daily, using the applicator supplied, and preferably at bedtime Gyno-Betrosil® tablet is effective when applied for 3 to 6 or 14 days. In cases of candida infection of both sexual partners, they should at the same time be treated with Betrosil® Cream /Tablet,
Store in a cool dry place, protect from light.
Betrosil® is available as Tioconazole 1% dermal cream in 20g tube, and Gyno-Betrosil® 100mg- Tioconazole tablet in foil pack of 3 tablets.
