History

Drugfield Pharmaceuticals Limited was incorporated as a wholly indigenous company in 1991. Its first manufacturing outfit was approved for drug production in 1993 by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and duly recognized by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).

Drugfield Pharmaceuticals was founded by a career manufacturing Pharmacist, Mr. Olakunle Ekundayo, the first choice of dosage form for production were Dermatological Antibiotic and Antifungal Preparations, whose scarcity within the Nigerian Health system, hitherto, encouraged the influx of substandard alternatives from doubtful and spurious sources.

Drugfield Pharmaceuticals products now offer genuine replacements which have reinforced the confidence of Doctors, Pharmacists and other prescribers across the country.

Our facility houses additional Dosage Form Manufacturing Areas for Antibiotic Dry Syrups, Capsules, Tablets, Animal Health powders, Eye/Ear Drops, Liquid injectable preparations, Nasal Drops etc.

With a total work force of about 340, Drugfield Pharmaceuticals products are sold and marketed throughout Nigeria and Ghana using a network of professionals including Pharmacists in all its Service Centres and through appointed Pharmaceutical Distributors.

Drugfield Pharmaceuticals Limited commenced the sale and marketing of some of its products in the Federal Republic of Ghana in December 1998, the first indigenous Nigerian Pharmaceutical Company to be so licensed by the Ghana Food and Drugs Board.
